Island handling
Distant islands stretch the frame and the rest of the plate becomes sea. Measured (bbox area, deg²): Spain all 362 → balanced 105 (Canaries), Norway 960 → 343 (Svalbard), Greece balanced 58 → mainland 35 (39 rings).
The engine contract has no island parameter yet, so this control is off. It will open when the engine exposes it.
